  1. 1 — The Qubit (YouTube)1:01:56

Qubits, vector-space representation, operators, basic quantum computation.

Officially indexed series; verified YouTube mirror.

  2. 2 — Interference (YouTube)41:53

Interference and explicit evolution using Pauli matrices; mathematical worked examples.

Works with X, Y, and Z Pauli matrices.

  3. 3 — Measurement (YouTube)43:09

Interacting quantum systems, measurement, and operator-based analysis.

An alternate March 2003 mirror also exists.

  4. 4 — The Schrödinger Picture (YouTube)48:23

Schrödinger picture, density matrices, and explicit mathematical representation.

    Verified March 2003 mirror.

  5. 5 — A Quantum Algorithm (YouTube)46:00

A complete quantum algorithm and its mathematical operation.

    Verified YouTube mirror.

  6. 6 — Grover’s Search Algorithm (YouTube)41:05

    Grover search and quantum speedup.

Sixth and final lecture; verified YouTube mirror.

Provenance & notes

Technical six-lecture course: The Qubit; Interference; Measurement; The Schrödinger Picture; A Quantum Algorithm; Grover’s Search Algorithm. The public 2020 transcript is hosted by Indiana University and credits Ben Webb and Adrian German as its preparers; the existing GitHub resource is a backup mirror of that same loqcdd.pdf plus recovered worked examples. In 2026 correspondence, Indiana University staff confirmed that the transcript covers the Quiprocone videos represented by this DD-003 playlist and that permission to make it available had been received from David Deutsch in 2020. This is stronger provenance for an already-cataloged transcript, not a separate appearance.

David Deutsch — Academia.edu papers profile (Website)

Paper index / author profile · Multi-paper Academia.edu profile listing a range of Deutsch papers and uploads. Useful as a discovery and access index, but the profile itself is not a source page for any one specific paper; individual paper entries should use a paper-specific publisher, DOI, arXiv, author PDF, or other item-level source whenever available.

r/DavidDeutsch (Reddit)

Community discussion / discovery feed · Active community for Deutsch-related discussion and newly surfaced interviews, talks, writing, and source questions. Useful as a recurring discovery feed; individual claims still require independent verification before entering the canonical record.

Constructor Theory (Website)

Official research ecosystem · High-yield official source for constructor-theory research, papers, talks, and interviews.

FQxI / QSpace (Website)

Institutional media / research ecosystem · Recurring discovery source for Deutsch-related articles, podcasts, videos, rebroadcasts, and constructor-theory coverage. Also check FQxI’s official YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/@fqxi; reconcile reposts, clips, and rebroadcasts to the underlying canonical item rather than creating duplicates.

DeutschCap (Website)

Searchable caption index · Searchable captions for a broad collection of Deutsch videos, including obscure uploads, excerpts, and mirrors.

Deutsch Explains (YouTube)

Third-party archive / repost channel · Active third-party archive and discovery source that reposts or mirrors Deutsch appearances and excerpts; verified compendium examples include DD-012 and DD-068. Reconcile each upload to the underlying canonical item rather than treating reposts or clips as new appearances.
